All atoms are charged
A myth we're going to bust today!
By: Aadyaa Keyal - Researcher

Explanation -
Atoms are electrically neutral because they have equal numbers of positively charged protons and negatively charged electrons. The opposite charges cancel each other out, resulting in no overall charge.
Structure of an Atom -
The nucleus of an atom is positively charged and is surrounded by one or more negatively charged electrons.
Electrons are much smaller than protons or neutrons.
Electrons are attracted to the positive nucleus because opposite electric charges attract each other.
Fact Check -
No atoms have an electrical charge, or they would be called ions.
